Artist Tyler Stinson
Some art can be a practice in stepping into the present moment. You lose something when you try to decipher the work, analyze it or interpret it. Especially the visual art, it can only be honestly experienced when you are there with it. The work is complete in this moment and requires no timeline to present itself to you. While it does not change from moment to moment, one can always grow deeper in their connection to it. This felt connection is the only thing that is truly real about the experience and it will differ with every individual. The piece asks nothing else of you; there is nothing to be understood and there is nothing to gain by forcing a meaning. It is a freedom from requirement and it is a peace that exists only here and now.
